Miss Nova Scotia International
Miss Nova Scotia International is open for those between the ages of 18 (must turn 19 before July 2010) and 26 years, not married, have no children and not with a child.
Miss Nova Scotia International contestants will be judged on:
- Personality
- Intellect
- Poise
- Ability to Communicate with People
- Community and Charity interests
- Public Speaking
- Interview
- Stage Presence
- Dedication and commitment
- Preparing for Pageant Week
- Biography
- Sincerity, honesty, sense of humor
- Morals and ethics
- Manners
- Telephone Manners
- Dealing with schedule changes
- Promptness
- Dealing with different types of situations and problems
- Written reports from Personal Chaperone, Director and President of MNSI
- Attitude in dealing with MNSI Staff and chaperones both leading and up to and during pageant week (even rehearsals)
AWARDS PRESENTED
- Miss Mannequin: Voted by modelling agents on poise, personality, projection, the ability to walk and turn gracefully, print potential, high energy, and good body.
- Miss Talent: Participation is Optional. Judged on preparation, costume, expressions, etc. Limit time, 4 minutes, which is strictly adhered to.
- Miss Popularity: Voted on ticket sales of Pageant Night & Gala, also on sales of Support Ads.
- Miss Fitness: Each contestant will participate in a Nova Scotia Fitness Test.
- Miss Friendship: Voted privately between the Delegates ONLY.
- Miss Photogenic: Chosen from the photogenic pictures that are submitted.
- Miss Swimsuit: Voted by judges off set. Participation is optional.
- Miss Scholastic: Each girl will get a test that will be done during the week that will have mathematics and NS questions.
